Lomito Completo
November 30, 2007
A little something to drool over.
Chels and I aren´t particularly big steak eaters, so we´ve been doing our best to try and appreciate the great beef that they have here in Argentina. One thing that we have found, and love, are the lomito sandwiches. mmmm … lomo, jamon, queso, huevo, tomate (steak, deli sliced ham, cheese, egg, and tomato). perfecto!

that sounds crazy delicious.
That has got to be the most appetizing picture of a lomo sandwich I have ever seen. Damn I’m jealous.
I lived in Argentina for 2 years and absolutely loved lomitos. So yummy and delicious. I especially enjoyed it with chimichurri. Chau.
I lived in Paraguay for 6 months, and they had lomitos there too, and oh my gosh they are the best thing to eat in the world! ! ! ! im doing my spanish project on them, teaching how to make it in spanish!
hahahahaha… I was looking for something out on the net about a “lomito completo”, because a friend of mine (he’s from Netherlands), the firsts words that he spoke out in spanish were “LOMITO COMPLETO”, haha, all the foreigners love it, pretty much like us! hehe, great to know that!
oh man this is pure food porn!
A few more months till Lomito Completo for me…..
lived off lomito for 2 years. can tell you, your picture lomitos are upside down. theres such a difference, usually the poorer regions put them together in the right order and the fancy B.A. restaurantes make them any which way and they may as well be a common sandwich.
Worked and lived all over Argentina for over 2 years and I never got tired of these, the “completo” though as it states should be loaded, yours is close; been trying to duplicate it back home in Canada but it just doesn’t seem the same. My recipe: grilled steak filet, ham, provolone cheese, fried egg, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, sandwiched in a french loaf… Cholesterol city, but so good…
